Cameron asks Europe's Leaders for a burger, and gets half a bun.
Is it just me who thinks that they actually want the Union to collapse ?, If Cameron does not get everything he wants In Britain's interest, I think a referendum will be a very obvious death Knell for The European Union.

At best for Europe I think the referendum will be very close and they may scrape it, but they are taking a big chance.

Far from being a great deal for Britain, this is just a bit of legerdemain to try and get a Stay In vote before the EU continues on its quest to achieve a Federal Republic of Europe with no reform and no deference to its people

Even EU-groupies the BBC are struggling to present this as a substantive deal.

Like a lot of people I agree with what he asked for but obviously he knew that he was never going to get it.

I'm voting out

It's thin gruel, and Cameron knows it.

It was always unlikely that he would be be able to throw some red meat at his back benchers but I expected him to do better than this.

This is not the completely new relationship with Europe he told us was his personal red line. In fact it isn't a new relationship at all, it's just the old relationship with lipstick on.

But in any case it's better this way. The referendum was never about Cameron's renegotiation anyway. It's about whether we want to be a sovereign nation with our own elected parliament or a small part of a federation whose laws are made by unelected technocrats.

You either agree that the price we pay - losing the right to govern ourselves and abandoning democracy - is worth the benefits of a European super state or you don't.

Said the other day that Britain removing itself from the growing immigration crisis in continental Europe and the realisation in England that an OUT vote may see Scotland detach themselves from the UK may well be crucial factors.
Especially if the economic arguments get lost in a backwards and forwards MORASS of claims and counter claims.

Everybody should tell whoever asks them that they're definitely going to vote to stay in, then when it's time to put the cross in the box deliver a big resounding NO!

Wipe the smug grin off the faces of the political parasites.

Scotland won't become independent if we voted out of the EU. If the Scots had another referendum the result would be the same as it was before. Unionists still have the numbers and will do for 15-20 years.

I can't see anything other than an OUT result in the referendum.

There's some decent odds around for that as well.

Even if the no votes win, I expect there will be an attempt to set up a second referendum to get the 'correct' result.

DONT TRUST THOSE BASTARDS IN BRUSSELS.

Given that there is no guarantee that Scotland would remain in the EU post independence from an exited UK, I wonder whether that fear of not staying ion the EU might finally put an end to this English subsidised SNP pantomime north of the border

To stay is big favourite, 5/2 to leave. In the end I think most people will vote to stay IN I hope I'm wrong.

bookies also predicted a hug parliament at the last election, but then again they got their guidance from the pollsters (who I might add did even worse in the Republican Iowa election yesterday)

The Express has set up an on-line referendum vote now.

The LEAVE votes are currently at 94%.

I'd bet anyone on here £100 that some excuse comes up which means the referendum will never happen.

Exactly. I'd happy accept those odds in what will be a close 2 horse race.
